Khalil Burns, 27, was being held in the Middlesex County ail after his arrest Aug. 10, and charged with attempted murder, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.

Burns and three other Linden men -- Antoine Morgan, 25, Gasim Kromah, 26, and Isaiah Gregory, 22 -- were previously charged with weapons offenses in connection with the July 12 shooting at the Delta Suites hotel, Ciccone said alongside Woodbridge Police Director Robert Hubner.

The men were at a party in one of the hotel rooms when gunfire rang out around 2:35 a.m., police said. Responding officers found four men ages 20, 22, 23 and 25 in need of treatment for apparent gunshot wounds.

Burns was arrested Monday Aug. 10 by members of the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Task Force, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, and the Woodbridge Police Department. He was charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The Linden Police Department also provided considerable assistance throughout the investigation.

Burns was lodged in the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center ending a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court.

The investigation is active and continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Ratajczak at (732) 634-7700 or Detective Tighe at (732) 745- 4335.
